100 things on my to-do list

Some people call it a 'bucket list' and others call it a '100 things to do before I die' list. All rather morbid imho so I'm going to call mine a "Really Big To-Do List (that just happens to have exactly 100 items)." You can have a few pieces of my list because I really think you should make your own. Do eet! The force compels you.

1. Swim with dolphins
2. Great Wall of China
8. Have coffee at a French cafe
12. Get a dog
13. See Madonna perform live

19. Grow vegetables
20. Swim in a waterfall
21. Stonehenge
22. Hot springs in Iceland
23. Spend a night on the beach

28. Go fruit picking and make pies
30. Learn to drive stick
31. Grow my hair out really long
39. Learn to cook
46. Design a home from the ground up -- interior and exterior

50. Make out at the drive-in
55. Live in a foreign country, again
57. See and photograph the Grand Canyon
58. Own a summer home on water
65. Own an oversized, comfy reading chair

66. See the Nutcracker ballet every Christmas
70. Invent something
71. Grow flowers in my own garden
72. Horseback riding on the beach
78. Get one of my photos printed on large-size, stretched canvas (like, 40"+)

80. Take photos underwater
84. Have fresh flowers in my house every day for a summer
86. Machu Picchu
96. Eat breakfast in bed
97. Take a nap in a hammock

A lot of those can be checked off in a summer. I went down the lsit and I ahd 20 of them already done and another 15 that I would add to my list.

What about...


  • Do something so outrageous, you should have gone to jail!

  • Invite someone to dinner who you have always wanted to meet. (Actor, Singer, Public figure)

  • Save someone's life

  • Inspire a child to learn something new

  • -Write a book and have it published

  • compose/record a song and have it played on the radio

  • Party with real rock stars

  • Have your picture taken with your top 4 heroes / idols.

That's funny: I rode the elevator with this guy this morning and had a random chat about how we were going to start a list of "Things NOT To Do Before I Die."

We decided it had just as much place in the world as the original list -- and so much easier to complete!

I have some pretty ambitious items ... but I'm not sharing some of 'em. Gonna just make it a surprise!!

Peter, way to leave me hangin'!! I read this on my cell this morning and anxiously paged down to see what was on your list ... and then nothing. Ugh!! Luckily I have just the place for you to tell me. :-D

No worries! It just means you have to make your own list (but I'd be quick about it if you know what I'm sayin' ;)
