If you haven't already signed up for this year's edition of Minneapolis Barcamp: Minnebar 2THE XTREME, go on and get. There will be technology, geekery, discussion on whether Web 2.0 is over or if it even existed in the first place... and beer. I'm reading all kinds of stuff about this year's conference being held in St. Paul, so if I'm a bit late finding the venue, that's why. Basically if St. Paul and I were dating we'd be breaking up right now because of communication problems. "It's not you, it's me," never rang so true.
There will be Many-A-Dozen sessions throughout the day for you and me to enjoy, peppered with Many-A-Demos. The Matt we all know and love will be there participating in the "Web 2.0: In business, out of beta" panel and I'm going to do my very best at convincing him to wear his hat for the occasion. I'm panel-ized in this year's conference as well in the "Design 2.0: What's a web designer to do?" session. I'm sure everyone's dying to hear about how we're planning on handling Denny Hecker on our front page.
pwnd n00b! lolz!!!11!1oneone1one
Our panel should be rockin and my fellow panelists are incredibly KA: Ben Edwards, Christopher Leighton-Brooder, Stefan Hartwig, Garrick Van Buren, and Norman Orstad. Can you think of a better way to spend a Saturday?! The camera and I will be present for the full event, sans red shoes.
If you want to see the red shoes you're just going to have to head over to Voltage: Fashion Amplified on Wednesday night where I'll be rockin' them with some designer dress I found in my friend's closet while she's out of town (she won't kill me once she see's how freagin' hot it looks with the shoes and some black eyeliner). Plus I'll make sure it's laundered and covered with an appropriate amount of cat hair as if it never left its hanger by the time she comes home.
Voltage really does sound freagin' hot this year. Katherine Gerdes will be showing her stuff (of last season's Project Runway fame) as will Kimberly Jurek. You remember Kimberly Jurek, que non? You've seen here before when she rocked out at Azia. Annie Larson will be showing her stuff there too, and while I don't know who she is her photograph in this week's issue of Vita.mn is so freagin' cute I'm convinced whatever she's showing will pretty much r0ck. Live music playing will include The Alarmists, The God Damn Doo Wop Band, Black Blondie, The Plastic Constellations, and a bunch of others I totally can't remember right now.
Voltage. Bring your camera and come rock the fashion.
Minnebar. Bring your laptop and come rock teh internetz.
Blogotheque's Take-away Shows makes me want to be a vlogger. [link]
Curse Chuck for making me a blow a half-hour of work time on this site! Interestingly enough, I now also want to move to Paris and become an arty groupie. Weird.
